A year of events to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Great Flood |

20th January A Wave of Bells Bell-ringing at churches all along the coast of south-west Wales from Rumney in the west to Chepstow in the east, to mark the anniversary of 'The Great Flood'.
30th January 7.30pm A Service of Commemoration St Thomas the Apostle Church, Redwick An act of worship on the anniversary of 'The Great Flood' to commemorate those who lost their lives in the disaster
16th March 7.30pm Killer Wave Redwick Village Hall A presentation by Professor Simon Haslett (Bath Spa University) on his research into the 1607 flood and its possible causes.
14th April 10am-noon How deep was the Flood? St Mary's Church, Nash Young Archaelogists' Club, South-East Wales, surveying the height of the flood
20th April 7.30pm The Caldicot Levels in Old Photographs Redwick Village Hall A presentation by Richard Jones exploring aspects of local history using old photographs and postcards. Tickets £5 available from the door, in support of Redwick Church funds.
25th-28th May Exhibition Weekend Goldcliff, Nash and Redwick churches We re-tell the story of 'The Great Flood' with exhibitions, including floral exhibits and displays from partner agencies presenting the environmental questions of today raised by reasearch into the 1607 flood. More Information
